another new concept

So the project has changed again. This time I have taken Geocaching and combined it with a public telephone. So instead of finding containers people would have to find public phones. they would need to answer these phones in order to obtain clues as to where the next location is for them to go. Ok so I have changed my concept again.This time I plan to do this:

 

I've been trying to find out what I'm trying to say with this design. What I'm try to show is that people are adiccted to vertual spaces and that people find entertainment in other peoples misfortunes and the fact that no one knows that they are watching makes them feel like they got away from invading someones personal space.Since in reality if people had to invade someones personal space they would insight aggresion towards themself's.Therefore by invading someone's personal space in a digital form causes them to get away with peoples irritation and anger to be unloaded upon them.

New ideas.

OK so I changed my concept idea completly since the last post. My idea is to now make a phone booth that has screen inside of the phone booth. On these screens will be shown either animations of a fantasie universe or live action footage of another area (Some place in Itally or any place in South Africa that looks amazing).The reason for this is to lure people into using the public phone and also maybe it will make people talk longer on the phone because they might want to tell the person who they are talking to about what they are seeing on the screens of the phone book. The downside of this is that people might just stand in the booth for a long time just trying to look at what they can see and not use the actual phone. Also homless people will use this as a place to sleep unless these phone booths are placed inside a mall or a secure area.

Introducion

Hello people. My name is Prashant. I am a honours student in Multimedia design at the Greenside design centre. The reason for this blog is so I can get feeedback from people about my ideas and to help me improve them.

I am curruntly doing a project that involves the redesigning of the house telephone. I am also trying to see how I can involve character development and animation into this project as that is what I want to improve my skills on. I have had a few ideas.
My first idea was to transform the average house phone and add simple games (like tetris) to the phone so that people that are bored and and have nothing to do can play that while they wait for a call from someone.
My second Idea was to transorm the house phone into a weapon so that if someone breaks into your house you could use that for defence.My third and final idea was to create a customisable phone where you could by parts from shops and attach them to the exterior of the phone in which ever way you seem fit to.
